About Us
When we first envisioned MelD Studio, we set out to create a new kind of design firm not readily available in our region; one that is creative, energetic, and collaborative with both our clients and among us as a team. We got to know each other as colleagues at other firms where we developed a keen friendship and mutual respect for each other’s work. We work hard to carry all of that positive, creative, collaborative energy through to our relationships with our clients and firmly believe that is what makes us most unique.
Our Team
Lois Torvik has been a Florida licensed architect since 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Notre Dame and a Master of Architecture from Yale University. Her early career provided a strong foundation in traditional architecture. At Meld Studio Architecture, Lois draws on this background to manage a variety of projects, residential, commercial and institutional. She relies on a practical, collaborative approach to design, working closely with clients to create beautiful and highly functional spaces.
Angelina Wheeler-Chong is a Florida-licensed architect and Partner with over 30 years of industry experience. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University in 1999 and has since managed a wide variety of design projects. Her comprehensive portfolio includes work across the hospitality, high-end residential, multi-family, educational, and medical sectors. Angelina applies this broad background to effectively guide her teams and develop practical, thoughtful solutions for her clients.
Jeffrey Anderson is a licensed architect with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Florida. His work focuses on hospitality, multifamily, single-family residential, and commercial development projects. He is passionate about the design process and values close collaboration with clients and contractors to bring projects to life. Jeffrey is committed to creating thoughtful, functional spaces that align with each client’s vision.
Over his 25-plus year career, Gerald Balletti has built a strong foundation in high-end residential, multi-family, and commercial design, alongside skilled client collaboration and contractor relations. He brings this extensive experience to MelD Studio Architecture, guiding a diverse range of projects from initial concept through final construction. Dedicated to clear communication and seamless execution, Gerald works closely with clients to thoughtfully transform their best ideas into physical reality.
